Setting up email accounts in Outlook/Thunderbird

Overview Learn how to configure your email client to send and receive emails using your IPOW hosting account.

Email Settings Use these settings to configure any email client:

Incoming Mail (IMAP)
  • **Server:** mail.yourdomain.com
  • **Port:** 993
  • **Security:** SSL/TLS

    Incoming Mail (POP3)
  • **Server:** mail.yourdomain.com
  • **Port:** 995
  • **Security:** SSL/TLS

    Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
  • **Server:** mail.yourdomain.com
  • **Port:** 465
  • **Security:** SSL/TLS
  • **Authentication:** Required

    Outlook Setup 1. Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account 2. Enter your email address and click Connect 3. Select IMAP or POP3 4. Enter the server settings above 5. Enter your password and click Connect

    Thunderbird Setup 1. Open Thunderbird and go to Account Settings 2. Click Account Actions > Add Mail Account 3. Enter your name, email address, and password 4. Thunderbird should auto-detect settings, or enter them manually
